Hello Tyrians! Hope you had a fantastic weekend for those of that had holidays, but otherwise, Happy Tuesday. I have some small updates for you (along with addressing some frequently asked questions).
Firstly, we’ve completed 79% of surveys in the first 3.5 days — which is fantastic, thank you for being so on top of this.
As a reminder, the lock down date for add-ons is June 11th. If you don’t decide your add-ons/selections by then, while you’ll still get everything you paid for, it may not be the selections you want (so please do that - we don’t want to guess for you) — we’ll be placing our orders shortly after lock down!

Second: Post-Campaign Store Schedule
Now through June 11th: Packages will be available for PayPal and credit card users that were unable to back during the campaign - if you have a friend, definitely encourage them to do so! (We offered more than the stretch goals in the store.)
June 16 through July 20: Larger prints for U.S. / CAN only. These larger prints will be sold for-profit, and we’ll funnel the net to the artists who created them. These are shipped separately of packages and will be on fine art paper with archival quality inks, in sizes of 8"x10" and 11"x14" (potentially one more size, dependent on discussions). 5"x7"s are only available in the campaign.
Third: As previously announced, we’ll be holding a backer-only contest for two Wheel of Fortune upgrades. This will not change your selected add-ons or anything like that - just nets you a signed copy of the book.
We’ll be releasing this from June 25 through July 10 (i.e., once we have a moment to get everything else settled), and announcing results around the 15th. It will be more knowledge/ lore based / related to the cards in the project.
Lastly: We have a mini print giveaway going on Tumblr and Twitter. We’ll continue to have item and gem giveaways and updates on all campaigns - we enjoy interacting with you! (We have an Instagram as well, but we’re not so active outside of the campaign days.) <3
Some project questions/answers I’ve answered:
Q: Can I adjust my pledge to a different tier if I was a backer?
A: Outside of a revision to The Chariot (which you can do yourself), most likely, but you’ll need to email us.
Q: When can we adjusting shipping dates until?
A: Mid-July. We’ll notify everyone ahead of time (about a week). If you have a date change that happens between mid-July and shipping at end of August (estimated), please let us know.
Q: Is production/shipping on time?
A: Currently yes! However, we’re dealing with six different manufacturers, so there’s always a change that one slips up and delays the process (or we slip up, of course). Our goal is still to do our best and meet the anniversary. :)
Q: Do all packages come with a tarot cloth?
A: No. Please note that the $120,000 stretch goal unlocked a cloth for all contributors to the project (artists, writers, moderation, etc). They are all unpaid outside of their contributor’s bundles, so it was an extra gift outside of their contracted initial allotment. We know this caused some confusion, so we apologize. We generally reference monetary participants as “backers” or “pledgers”.
Q: Where can I see all of my items?
A: There was/is a very specific breakdown in your survey. If you completed it, it should have been emailed to you. It is EXACT. Outside of the credit listing, if you don't see something and think it should be there email us.
Q: I’ve lost my link to my survey!
A: You can either retrieve it at: https://tyrian-tarot.backerkit.com/ or you can email us and we’ll grab it for you.
Q: I got an email from you about combining pledges. Should I respond?
A: Probably? It was usually because we noticed that you overcharged yourself on shipping and wanted to give you money back in the form of a credit.
Q: If I have two (or more) pledges, do I need to complete the survey for both?
A: Yes! When you’re completing the survey, there’s a bar at the top that indicates that you have more than one pledge and to swap. However, if you’re having trouble finding that, just email us. We can direct link you to the survey.
Q: Can I get ____ for free because ____?
A: Unless we extend you an offer for something, the answer is no.
Other questions I've answered a few times:
Q: Are you paid/an employee of ArenaNet?
A: No, annnnd no. I am a Creative Partner, sponsored by ArenaNet. I cannot solve your support tickets, qualms about the game/community, or get [blank thing] done, but I can send along your love appropriately.
That said, while a fan, I view myself as a professional at my craft, and hold everything I produce to a high standard. I firmly believe you’ll love this project!
In terms of donations to the tip jar, we do really appreciate what some of you have dropped the moderation staff. We treated ourselves to some coffee/bubble tea this weekend while working. :)
Q: How many hours does a project like this take?
A: I’ve been asked this a few times, and the real answer without specifics is probably just "more than most realize." It’s a second full-time job, without exaggeration.
That said, it shouldn’t delay any questions/comments/responses on official channels. If you have a serious question, always please email it or DM it over Twitter or ask via the “ask a question” on this campaign. Don’t think you’re bothering me/us - we’re happy to help if we can. It should never take more than 8 hours to respond — you’ll usually get a response on most standard inquiries during my awake hours within the hour.
Q: What are your future projects?
A: I also run the annual Wintersday Zine, which goes on sale around Nov. 1, also for charity and sponsored by ArenaNet. We are discussing the next summer project as well.
Q: How bad is your coffee addiction?
A: We don’t speak of it. Speaking of it makes it real. … Shh.

Hey everyone! I hope you’re off to a fantastic weekend!
First of all: thank you for being a part of this campaign. We couldn’t have done it without you, and the team is incredibly humbled by all of your support.
We ended at $160,930 USD raised by 2,693 backers, which was 1,110% of our goal. With everyone’s support, we became one of the biggest (if the biggest) tarot campaign on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter… which is really rather insane. I can’t tell you how exciting that is to know that all of you support the creative community & our team. It means a lot and I’m sure it means great things for future projects as well.
THAT SAID - it’s survey time! Add-ons!

- Surveys are due: June 11th.
- Lock down for shipping is mid-July.
- The post-campaign store opens tomorrow at noon EST as scheduled! It will run until there is nothing left or July 15th arrives, whichever comes first. We’ve added additional packs to this due to demand. Once we hit 25 remaining, we’ll put out a notice on social media.
Surveys are required by everyone, regardless of pledge level.
5% of you were a part of our “smoke” run last night, which was effectively a test of the system. Thus far, we’ve hit no issues, so we’ll be sending out all BackerKit surveys live at 6 PM EDT (about 2 hours from the time of posting). Please check your emails for your links -- if you haven’t gotten your email by 7 PM EST, go here to recover the link!
- If you made a donation with another pledge for add-ons, we already combined them for you.
- If you had more than one base bundle (for example, two tiers of “The Fool”), we left them alone. We’ll still ship them together if they were intended for the same location, but similar to Amazon checkouts, the invoices remain separate! That said, if you’d like them combined for whatever reason, please contact us via email.
- If we noticed you had a duplicate order with combined items that would have been cheaper in a different manner, we applied a credit amount and emailed you concerning the adjustment. I believe I have handled all of these, or have contacted all impacted parties, but if you believe something is amiss, please let us know. We want to be fair to you when possible. :)
That said, our delightful add-on selection:
PINS (Basic and Legendary):
Basic ($7 each): Hard enamel metal for Catmander, Apples, Res Me, World Completion; Recessed metal for the Black Lion Coin and Mastery Pin. 1.25” in size. (A note: The World Completion pin comes default with all The Fool (or equivalent) and up packages. You’re free to add another if you wish.)
Legendary ($10 each): 1.75” in size. Eternity is made out of a rainbow anodized metal, which is unique for each pin. Flameseeker Prophecies glows in the dark.
STICKERS (Sticker sheets and Vinyls):
Sticker Sheets ($4 each): These are 5”x7” and come in two designs (Breakfast Mounts and Tyrian Pets). The Tyrian Pets image is foiled.
Vinyl ($2.50 each): 3”x3” vinyl stickers (quaggan and choya partying, pocket raptors). These were unlocked as social media goals, and are included in The Fool (or equivalent) and up packages. You’re free to add more if you wish!
TAROT CLOTH:
Cloth ($13): This was added as our last pledge goal, featuring a design voted on by the community, so we still have some small things to confirm as we’re discussing with manufacturers. It will measure 20”x20” or 22”x22” in size, full cotton. We’re looking for the highest quality we can afford, to match the rest of the items in the project! (We also added this as a gift to the packages the contributor’s to the project get as part of the $120,000 stretch goal.. -- Thank you! --)
PRINTS:
Prints ($10 each): The previews are available in the survey itself (you can scroll through the images in the bar. All previews are 70% in dimension of the specified cards, and participating artists supplied only one card max that they did for the project.
Prints are archival quality on fine bright white paper. These are absolutely frame quality! The standard ones in the campaign are 5”x7”, with a white border to allow for framing.
Larger sizes will be available in the post-campaign store on June 15th for the United States and Canada ONLY. They have their own shipping and will be shipped separately; we will NOT be shipping internationally outside of these locations. To find out if the print you’re interested in has a larger size, please review the indicators.
Note: Credit in the store cannot be applied to items in the post-campaign store, only in the add-on survey.
POSTCARDS & GIFT NOTES:
Postcards ($2 each): All physical send outs included a set of these. However, you’re free to add more of them!
Gift notes ($3): Want the moderation team to address the postcards for you (for a birthday gift, anniversary, etc)? We’re happy to do so. Everything of this tier goes to charity.
MODERATION TIPS:
There is a tip/donation icon in the store. This is if you’d like to tip the moderation team for their efforts (no one in the team is compensated, not even in coffee).
All art reviews and directions are supplied by a group of five moderators, while logistics/support & campaign development/anything else is done by two of those five. We do it for a good cause, happily so, but we won’t protest a coffee or a bubble tea (especially with hand shipping almost 3,000 packages).

We are 25.5 hours out from the end of the campaign (I can't believe it!). Thank you all for being a part of this wild ride. We know many of you just found us, but regardless of the length that you've been following this campaign... welcome! We're delighted to have you here.
First things first: We've hit $120,000 and, thus, we've added a few things:
- We are officially giving, at minimum, $15,000 to IFAW. :D
- We've added a 1.75" Glow-in-the-dark Flameseeker Prophecies pin, to sit alongside Eternity. Both are optional specialty add-ons, available through the pledge management system (backer surveys).
- We've added two more cards to the deck - "Bubbles" (The Deep Sea Dragon) and Gixx. We've also added one more backing card to the bottom of the deck. These come for free to all decks.
- We've added backgrounds to the digital pack! (This is in available in any pack larger than The Fool -- $40+).
- Tarot cloth gifts to the participants of the project - i.e., the artists, the writers, the editors, and our cosplayer. I'm excited we can send them a better thank you for all of their work. :)
- Holding 25 more decks in the post-campaign store for our friends without credit cards.
I really can't tell you how excited I am to smash through our final stretch goal. You've been all so good to us, and your celebration of the creative community is such a blessing.
Secondly: As promised, here are the guides for the campaign. They are, unfortunately, in somewhat tiny script due to our Tumblr theme (darn you, Tumblr) and may require some zooming. I'll be working on that in the next few days, but it does currently work on all mobile platforms decently!

To all of our Commanders:
Whew, 2 days remaining! It’s hard to believe that it’s been a bit over a month since this campaign has started. Thank you to everyone who has decided to join us for this journey.
Since we last updated, we knocked out all of the official concept art pieces in our “Road to $100,000” stretch goal… and announced the last and final stretch goal. It has a few upgrades and perks to it, and we’re very hopeful that we reach it.
The last Stretch Goal at $120,000 includes:
- A guaranteed $15,000 donation to charity (IFAW)
- A tarot cloth gift to each contributor of the project (artists/writers/editors/cosplayer)
- 1 more pin option (1.75”, glow in the dark, hard enamel – visual accompaniment to Eternity)
- Background wallpaper additions to the digital pack
- 2 additional art cards to the deck and 1 backing card (upping the total to 105 cards)
- Adding 25 more reserved copies for the post-campaign store for those that need to use PayPal (total of 75)
What can you do? Share the campaign if you think you might have an interested friend! We also will have some PR up on Reddit tomorrow, as well as Tumblr and Twitter. We’d love help in getting the word out!

Some dates and notes:
- The campaign closes at May 22nd, 2018, 11:59 PM PDT (this is 2:59 AM EDT on May 23rd). We won’t be extending it; the end is the end for this one. :)
- Campaign backer surveys should be sent out either May 24th or May 25th. We will be linking you to a visual guide tomorrow (May 21) that will walk you through the process and hopefully clear up any questions. This takes both PayPal and Credit Cards.
- Backer surveys are due to us on June 11 for add-ons, but will be open to shipping adjustments through mid-July (firm date TBD).
- The post-campaign store (for PayPal users) opens 12:00 PM EST on May 26th.

Hello everyone! This is a short update since we’ve officially crossed over to our final stretch goals!
In short, the last stretch goals are adding official concept art to the Guidebook, courtesy of our friends at ArenaNet. There will be one artwork unlocked for every $1k starting from $91k through $100k, making up the “Road to $100,000,” as we’ve affectionately dubbed it. There are 10 unlockable artworks in total.
We’ve announced them on both Tumblr and Twitter – please help us get the word out if you can! We only get them if we hit our goals by the end of the campaign. (Also, the Tumblr post has an upgrade for the Wheel of Fortune being raffled off!)

Other notes:
The giveaway of the deck ends later today (5/15) at 11:59 PM EST for the original social media posts. With those, since you’ve all pledged, you have the option of asking for a $30 credit in the add-on store going toward pins, stickers or prints. You can find those on Tumblr & Twitter.
We also have a small Discord competition going for some Guild Wars 2 gems (1,200 gems), courtesy of ArenaNet, and today's the last day to give us your predictions – if you’re in the server, feel free to come in and put down a prediction for the campaign! (If you’re not a part of the server, but want to be, you’re always welcome to join.)
The last two Wheel of Fortune upgrades will be available in a mini-contest after the closing of the campaign. It’ll be related to some of the lore of the game. More details on that at a later date.
Lastly, while the extra vinyl sticker from Twitter is unlocked, the raptors on Tumblr is still ongoing (but very close!). 60 more notes before the 22nd unlocks it for all Tyrian Tarot bundles. Help out some raptors!
